This year, we have been so incredibly busy!! We have had a lot to do and a bunch of people to celebrate the holidays with, and although it is very exhausting, it shows how blessed we are to have so many loving people in our lives.
We go up to the Samish Indian's Christmas party every year, and for those of you that don't know, Kyle and also the boys are native, but we all get to join in the fun! Blake has a drum that Great Grandpa made for him, and we always bring it up to Anacortes. Blake joined in with the other native drummers and had a blast! I was really surprised that he actually did it since he doesn't usually get involved like that with people that he didn't know, but it was sure a wonderful thing to see. Everyone was snapping pictures... it was absolutely adorable!
My Little Drummer Boy
This is the first year that Blake has really been super excited about Santa. We had an elf this year (Elf on the Shelf) that reported to Santa every night, and Blake would ask the elf to tell Santa that he was good... I am not going to lie, I also used to elf... I would remind him to behave because the elf was watching, and it usually straightened him right up!
Christmas is so amazing for me now. To see Blake look at Santa, and be so excited for him to come visit our house was truly amazing. The look on his face Christmas morning when he saw that Santa ate the cookies and the carrots were gone for the reindeer was something so special to me. I am excited for Blake and Luke to get excited together next year. Luke will be a little older and will enjoy it a bit more. What a magical time of year for children, and parents who get to watch them!
For some reason, Grandpa Monty is always in the bathroom when Santa shows up!
New LED lights... I like the traditional ones better.
He thinks that he has a friend on the other side of the window :)
