Lake McDonald is one of the most beautiful and clear lakes that I have ever seen. Deep, clear, cold and refreshing. As you drive next to the lake, there are many turn outs. We took a look at most of them, and we really enjoyed the beach at the "second turnout" most. I cant remember if we were there on two or three days, but it was heavenly, and we were all alone! The water is so clear that you can see all the way to the bottom, and even though the water is freezing cold glacier water, we all managed to swim in it for hours. the little guys even played in it. You kind of forget how cold it is when you realize bask in it's glory :)

If you haven't had enough pictures... here are some pictures of just the landscape... again, I cant say it enough, Montana is ABSOLUTLY gorgeous! Just a few tips if you ever are lucky anough to see this...
Pack a lunch
Wear Keens or some type of water shoe
Bring TP...Plenty of woods to go potty in :)
Chairs...tables...water toys - all a good thing.
Tammy brought games too, and it was a lot of fun to play them lakeside!
Plan to spend ALL DAY here... so worth it!!
